Get to know Taylor

It’s time for our very first Vows performer interview! First up is Taylor, who plays Father Taylor in the web series and feature film.

I first worked with Taylor back in 2017 when we filmed the Home Early series. In those scenes, he plays a handsome and bearded tradie. He was absolutely lovely to have on set, so when I decided that I wanted a second priest for the Vows film, he was my first choice.

Taylor brings a sense of levity and humor to Vows that would otherwise be lacking. He appears in two scenes in the webseries and film: Communion and Father Taylor’s Confession.

An Interview with Taylor

What did you first think about the film when Kim first told you about it?

I was pretty intrigued! Sounded like quite a fun concept to explore.

What aspect of Vows were you most excited about/ What was your motivation for being in Vows?

I guess I was most excited about my scene, Father Taylor’s Confession, as it was something I hadn’t experienced before, both on film and privately. I was motivated by working with Kim and her partner again, as well as the chance to meet and work with some new cool people.

How much communication did you have with your performers before you came to set?

We all exchanged emails as a group, about what our personal limits were, as well as what we enjoyed as part of a scene.

What was the location like?

The location was awesome! Well done Kim, on finding such a little gem!

What was your favorite on camera moment?

It would have to be being smothered in boobs haha

What was your favorite off camera moment?

I was using a camera (shooting BTS), but watching the filming of Blake, Honey and Stirling’s scene (The Lamb) together was pretty amazing. Both in their performances and Kim and Jay shooting/directing.

The Lamb is available on August 18th.

What was the most erotic moment for you as a performer?

It took me a little by surprise, but giving strap-on BJs to Blake and Kim turned me on the most. Being pegged by Honey definitely enhanced the experience though haha.

Did your personal interests overlap with what you/your character got to do in the film?

Yes, my scene (Father Taylor’s Confession) involved things I’d been wanting to try for a little while now.

Did you do anything to get in-character for the film?

I feel like dressing up, being in the church and chatting with Stirling definitely helped me focus on my character, but I didn’t really prep much beforehand.

Were the scenes constructed or did you have free reign to do what you wished?

The scenes had a structure, but I felt that we had the freedom to adjust and move around freely within them.

Did you have a favorite line in the script? (This could be one of yours or one said by another performer)

I don’t think it counts as a scripted line, but there was a scene where Stirling is preparing the sacrament and he breaks the wafer. It made the most perfect, crisp “snap”. I enjoyed that.
